World Tourism Organization (UNWTO)

WTO is the first international agency founded in the tourism industry in 1974. Headquarter of the organization situated in Spain, Madrid. ATMU is an affiliate member since 2011 after while has been selected member of Knowledge Network. Membership to UNWTO allowed ATMU students and staff to be benefited from wider opportunities in the tourism industry allowing us to represent our country in broad perspectives. In 2019 ATMU’s Tourism and Hospitality faculty awarded with TedQual certification for three years period.

DAAD – The German Academic Exchange Service

DAAD – The German Academic Exchange Service

DAAD – German Academic Exchange Service was established in 1925 in Germany. The agency’s main aim is to award grants to use for research and study in Germany. DAAD has been operational in Azerbaijan since 1997 as a local lectureship and in 2004 entered the DAAD worldwide network as a Baku Information Center. ATMU and DAAD cooperation started in 2008 and since then ATMU staff has participated in its international programmes. Also ATMU students have benefited of international programmes and courses under the umbrella of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ)

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ)

GIZ is established in 1950, Bonn Germany. Currently, the organization is spread to more than 120 countries. The organization set up office in Baku in 2007, since the same year cooperation with ATMU commenced. Between the years 2007-2014 two institutions together carried our 14 international projects on eco-tourism and agriculture development in Azerbaijan. In addition, ATMU representatives participated multiple times in various GIZ organized and supported events.

World Tourism Forum Lucernce

World Tourism Forum Lucernce has been organized since 2009 and ATMU is active participant since 2015. Starting from 2015 ATMU teachers and students have actively participated in international events organized by this forum. The main aim of the Forum by bringing tourism oriented organizations and universities together to open up the floor for development, opportunities.

British Council

British Council

British Council operates as an organization since 1934. British Council is the UK based international organization supporting cultural exchange and education opportunities. In Azerbaijan they are operating since 1993. ATMU and British Council cooperation commenced in 2009. From the first days of this cooperation ATMU representatives constantly and actively participated in BC projects and events.

Dante Alighieri Society

Dante Alighieri Society

Dante Alighieri Society was stablished by Giosuè Carducci in 1889, Italy. The main focus areas of the organization include the establishment of cultural ties, promotion of Italian culture. The headquarter of the organization is in Rome and currently, the organization is active in more than 200 world cities. The organization runs in Azerbaijan since 2012 and situated in Landmark Baku. Up until now the Society organized various cultural events and Italian language courses. Cooperation between Dante Alighieri Society and ATMU started in 2015. During these five years’ period number of events has been held in ATMU including Italian Language courses.

Romualdo Del Bianko Foundation

Romualdo Del Bianko Foundation

The Foundation was established in 1998, headquartered in Florence, Italy. Currently, The Foundation has more than 500 members. ATMU commenced its cooperation with The Foundation in August 2016. ATMU actively participates in Foundation-organized international events. The main aim of the foundation is to promote and support tourism, culture, and heritage-related projects by bringing together international organizations.

Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA)

Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA)

Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) is a non-commercial organization established in 1951. The headquarter office is situated in Bangkok. 800 organizations of the Pacific Asia region are the member of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), including 95 governments, state and city tourism bodies, 20 international airlines and airports, 102 hospitality organizations and 70 educational institutions, as well as over 4,000 youth members across the world. ATMU is a member since 2017. Thankfully to this membership, ATMU students have participated PTS in China.

Eurasian Silk Road Universities Consortium (ESRUC)

Eurasian Silk Road Universities Consortium (ESRUC)

Arzurum Ataturk University played vital role in the establishment of Eurasian Silk Road Universities Consortium (ESRUC). The organization was established in 2004 and currently has more than 100 higher education institution members. ATMU joined this alliance in 2009. The central aim in the establishment of this organization is to foster relations between higher education institutions and organizations. ATMU staff have been actively participating in ESRUC events.

Caucasus University Association (KUNIB)

Caucasus University Association (KUNIB)

Caucasus University Association jointly formed in 2009, 11 November by higher education institutions existing in Turkey. The main aim of the organization is to strengthen union, research cooperation between Caucasus Universities. ATMU is a member since 2010 and in the last 10 years, we have participated in a number of KUNIB organized events.

Robert Bosch Foundation

Robert Bosch Foundation

The organization was founded in 1964 Stuttgart, Germany. The central objective in the creation in the establishment of the organization was the promotion of German language and culture. Cooperation between Robert Bosch Stiftung and ATMU was launched in 2011. In a last 7 years within the special scholarship programme provided by the foundation three German guest lecturers taught German Language in ATMU. Additionally, ATMU German language teachers actively participated various programmes supported by the foundation.

Skal International

Skal International

The organization has been established in Paris, France 1932. Currently, Skål International exists in 99 countries and has more than 12592 members. In 2009, Skal Baku Club was launched and the head of the club was ATMU rector, since then close ties between the two agencies have been formed.

Confucius Institute

Confucius Institute

The central aim of Confucius Institute has been to promote Chinese language and culture, facilitate cultural exchanges. Currently the organization is active in more than 96 countries worldwide and has around 328 regional offices. Partnership between ATMU Language Center and Confucius Institute in 2017. In a last 3 years The Institute offered language courses, programmes to ATMU students.
