Information on ATMU's experience in the field of quality assurance was given at the event held on "Quality Assurance" at AzTU

The Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (TQTA) has started to hold events on "Quality Assurance" in higher education institutions. The first event was organized at the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The purpose of the event is to improve the experience of higher education institutions in the field of building an internal quality assurance system and to provide support to the existing structural units of internal quality assurance.

Nurali Yusifbeyli - Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of AzTU, Asiman Ilyasov - Head of the Training and Methodology Department of TKTA, Elmar Mustafayev - Acting Head of the Accreditation and Licensing Department,  Jamil Mammadov - Director of the Center for Distance Education and Quality Assurance at Baku Engineering University (BMU),  Faina Gachabayova - Head of the Quality Assurance Department of the Azerbaijan University of Tourism and Management (ATMU), Ramil Ahmadov - Head of the Quality Assurance Department of the National Aviation Academy presented information on quality assurance in educational institutions they represent, international experience and standards in this area. In her presentation, Faina Gachabayova spoke about four initiatives that allowed to set quality standards at ATMU. These are the Capacity Building Project of Azerbaijan University of Tourism and Management (2018-2020), UNWTO TedQual certification (2019-2022),  ISO 9001: 2015 QMS certification (2019-2022), EU funded Erasmus+ “Establishment and Development of Quality Control Centers in Azerbaijani Universities, EQAC” project (2018-2021).

It was noted that for the purpose to establish an internal quality assurance system in education and training institutions, such meetings to assess the quality of education are planned to be held every 3 months in different universities.
