Responsible Consumption and Production

According to the SGG 12, unsustainable consumption and production patterns lie at the heart of the triple planetary crises: climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution. From this perspective standpoint, ATMU aims to promote sustainable consumption and production practices, recognizing their critical role in ensuring the well-being of present and future generations. Azerbaijan Tourism and Tourism University has demonstrated to prioritize waste reduction through effective waste segregation practices.

Ecofront's (Non-Governmental Organisation) End-of-life Battery Decontamination and Disposal Project. Unusable batteries are collected and handed over to "Hazardous Waste" LLC operating under MENR. The batteries are charged there in specially insulated cells, and after the cells are filled, they are covered with insulating material, isolating the negative effects of the batteries from the environment.
