Good Health and well-being

As part of the university's commitment to student wellbeing, a new psychological service has been introduced this year. This service offers personalized support to students, providing access to counselling and mental health resources. Moreover, Career and Communication Center organizes awareness raising sessions for students with the purpose to prevent possible harmful addictions (e.g. “Say no to drug addiction” session, training within the framework of the “European HIV Testing Week in Azerbaijan”).

In addition to the aforementioned initiatives, the university has taken further steps to address the needs of students and staff with special needs. An Action Plan has been approved to ensure the provision of inclusive support services and create an accessible environment for all members of the university community. This Action Plan is designed in alignment with the Strategic Development Plan for the years 2022-2026, demonstrating the university's commitment to inclusivity and equal opportunities for individuals with special needs. By integrating the Action Plan into the broader strategic framework, the university strives to create a cohesive and holistic approach towards meeting the diverse requirements of students and staff. The Action Plan outlines specific measures and objectives to address the needs of individuals with special needs. These may include improving physical accessibility, enhancing assistive technologies, providing tailored academic support, and fostering a supportive and inclusive campus culture. By implementing this plan, the university aims to remove barriers and create an environment where every individual can thrive academically, professionally, and personally. Additionally, by partnering with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the university demonstrates its dedication to inclusivity and social responsibility. This collaborative effort enables the university to identify and assist students who require financial support due to their vulnerable status (IDPs, orphans, single parent students). It reflects the institution's commitment to creating a nurturing and supportive environment that empowers all students to pursue their educational goals and thrive academically.
